Phoenix Academy drastically changes the lives of individuals daily through their efforts to empower and advocate for genuine talent.

With nothing to show for their game other than their talent, the extreme unfortunate circumstances do not hinder the performance of the players at Phoenix Academy. These teenagers love nothing more than a good game of football regardless of the condition of the pitch or the name on the back of their jersey’s. The founders of Phoenix Academy witnessed first hand the genuine joy and passion displayed in the game of football by the teenagers of Africa.

“Playing barefoot on a pothole and gravely pitch, the teenagers of Accra played football with utter joy for the game, fueled by their determination not to let their in straitened circumstances affect their dreams of becoming stars.” - Seth Nana Twumasi, Co-Founder of Phoenix Academy.

The idea to start Phoenix Academy was rooted in the identification of talent not having the means to reach their true potentials. Co-founder, Seth Nana Twumasi, returned to Ghana for the first time since moving away as an eleven-year-old boy to find talented yet disadvantaged teenagers playing football on the streets of Accra. Seth is no stranger to the game of football; as an ex-England international and Chelsea Football Club player, he was able to identify the potential that these teenagers have.

Now, Phoenix Academy is directly impacting the lives of over 50 talented teenagers in Africa through Sports, Education, and Charity. The Academy is rapidly growing with a clear vision of their dream for the future. Find out more about the DREAM PLAN and, how you can help the players at Phoenix Academy.
